Sushi Shop Donnacona

The good: The staff are pleasant and helpful. I made a small order of mostly vegetarian sushi and they turned it around within about 10 mins, which was nice since we were traveling through. The not great: I ordered takeout and they kind of handed me a stack of things, which meant I didn’t notice there was no soy sauce. Maybe they don’t do take out bags anymore to avoid plastic waste (that should be a good thing), but you could maybe put a soy sauce packet into the sushi tray to ensure this is not forgotten. The disappointing: I’ve never had sushi from this chain before and was expecting nothing outstanding… but the rice in the sushi roll just seemed fake, like a fairly tasteless pre-prepared slab of rice that is mass produced for easy rolling by fairly untrained workers. It’s a fast food place so maybe my standards are too high. The texture was just not right with the California rolls… it didn’t really have much taste either. I just ate the avocado rolls and tossed the rest of my sushi order. I also ordered a cold bubble tea and it was strangely lukewarm even though it had been sitting with ice in it for about 10 mins before I broke into it. Verdict: The people working in the store seemed nice and I want to encourage them to keep providing good customer service, but I think the product just isn’t very good, and young workers can’t control what management tells them to serve. If you like sushi- I’ve had better sushi bought at grocery stores. I suspect you will be disappointed with this stuff. I can’t speak for the other products on the menu.

Jai commender des saisis il ny a pas longtemps pour 100$ . Je nai pas reçu 5 de mes sauces dans ma commende . Cependant, en discutant avec sushi shop , ils ont été compréhensif et mon offert un cadeaux pour s'excuser. Non seulement les sushis sont très bon mais leur retour aussi , ils savent ce racheter pour offrir leur meilleur service possible !
